Law Firm in Delhi

Manuja Law Partners is a firm of advocates handling litigation in Delhi's courts and the Delhi High Court, with chambers at the High Court and Saket, offices at Dwarka and Pitampura, and appearances at the Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad district courts.

In short

Manuja Law Partners is a Delhi law firm of advocates that conducts litigation: criminal and bail matters, divorce and family disputes, property and landlord-tenant suits, cheque bounce cases and civil recovery, before the district courts at Tis Hazari, Saket, Dwarka, Rohini, Patiala House, Rouse Avenue and Karkardooma, the Delhi High Court and the district courts of Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. A matter is handled by a team of advocates rather than one individual, with the principal chamber at S-307, Delhi High Court. We are a litigation firm, not a transactional or M&A practice, and we say so at the first call if your matter belongs elsewhere.

A law firm for Delhi’s courts

Manuja Law Partners is a firm of advocates that conducts litigation in Delhi. People usually reach a firm at a difficult moment: an arrest, a summons, a notice from a bank or a landlord, a marriage that has broken down, a property that is in dispute. We take the matter from the first consultation through to the final order and any appeal, and we write to you in plain language about each stage.

The firm is a team. Our advocates share the work on a matter, which means the case does not stall when one of us is in another courtroom, and the papers are known to more than one person.

What we practise

Our work falls into these groups:

  • Criminal law and bail. Bail and anticipatory bail, defence in trial, and quashing petitions before the High Court, including ED, PMLA and cyber crime cases. See our pages on criminal lawyers at Dwarka and Rohini, and our guide for a criminal lawyer in Delhi.
  • Family and matrimonial law. Divorce, maintenance, custody and domestic violence matters. Our guide to divorce lawyers in Delhi covers the process.
  • Property and tenancy. Title, partition, possession, injunctions and eviction. See property lawyers in Delhi.
  • Cheque bounce. Notices and complaints under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, for complainants and accused. See cheque bounce at Dwarka.
  • Civil litigation and recovery. Suits for money, contracts and injunctions, defamation, and arbitration-related disputes. See civil litigation at Tis Hazari and commercial disputes.
  • Succession and wills. Succession certificates, probate, letters of administration and disputed wills. See succession lawyers in Delhi.
  • Accident and consumer claims. Motor accident claims before the MACTs and complaints before the Consumer Commissions. See motor accident claims and consumer complaints.
  • Tribunals. Bank recovery and SARFAESI matters before the DRT and DRAT, insolvency and company petitions before the NCLT and NCLAT, service matters before the CAT, and labour disputes. See DRT and DRAT, NCLT, CAT and labour matters.
  • Writs and the Supreme Court. Writ petitions before the Delhi High Court and special leave petitions and appeals in the Supreme Court. See writ petitions and Supreme Court matters.

What we do not do

We are not a transactional firm. We do not act on mergers and acquisitions, fund raising, joint-venture documentation or trademark registration. Where a client needs that work, we say so at the first call. Saying no early saves you time and fees.

How we work with a client

  1. First consultation. You tell us what has happened and bring whatever papers you have. We identify the forum, the law that applies and the limitation position.
  2. Written advice. We set out the options, the likely stages and a realistic timeline, including the risks. We do not promise a result.
  3. Fees agreed up front. The structure is explained before work begins.
  4. Notice, filing or reply. We draft and send the legal notice, file the case or reply to the one filed against you.
  5. Hearings and updates. An advocate appears on each date and you receive an update after every hearing.
  6. Order, appeal or settlement. We advise on the order, any appeal, and on settlement or mediation where it serves you.

Realistic timelines

  • Bail in a district court: commonly days to a few weeks after the application is filed, depending on the offence and the listing.
  • Mutual consent divorce: commonly several months, from the first motion to the decree.
  • Cheque bounce complaint: commonly one to three years to judgment, though settlement can end it sooner.
  • Civil and property suits: commonly several years if contested; an interim injunction is usually decided within weeks to a few months.

These are ranges, not promises, and they depend on the court’s workload and how the other side conducts the case.

What to bring to the first meeting

Bring identity proof, every notice, summons, order or FIR you have received, and the documents behind the dispute: agreements, receipts, deeds, bank statements, messages. If you are unsure what matters, bring it all. We sort it and tell you what is missing.

Why instruct this chamber

Acting for you in Delhi

  • A team of advocates, not one individual

Court dates do not wait for one person's diary. Because a matter is known to more than one advocate in the firm, a hearing at Tis Hazari and another at Saket on the same morning can both be covered.

  • Chambers and offices where Delhi's cases are heard

Our principal chamber is at the Delhi High Court, with a chamber at Saket in the Lawyers Block and offices at the Dwarka District Court and at Pitampura, opposite Rohini Court. We appear at Tis Hazari, Patiala House, Rouse Avenue and Karkardooma without a chamber there.

  • Criminal, family, property and civil under one roof

A single dispute often crosses branches: a matrimonial case with a criminal complaint, a property dispute with a forged-document allegation, a cheque bounce with a recovery suit. One firm can keep the positions taken in each forum consistent.

  • Delhi and the NCR courts

We appear before the Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad district courts as well as Delhi's. For an NCR matter you do not need a second firm, and we say plainly that we hold no chamber in those cities.

  • The plan before the fee

We explain the forum, the stages, the realistic timeline and how fees are charged before you commit. We promise careful work and regular updates, not a result, because no advocate can.

  • Candid about what we do not do

We do not handle mergers, funding rounds or trademark registration. If a matter is outside litigation we tell you at the first call rather than take it on.

Common questions

Civil questions — Delhi

What does a law firm in Delhi do?

A law firm advises on legal rights and represents clients before courts and tribunals. Manuja Law Partners is a litigation firm: it conducts criminal, family, property, cheque bounce and civil cases in Delhi's district courts and the Delhi High Court.

Which courts does Manuja Law Partners appear in?

We appear at the Tis Hazari, Saket, Dwarka, Rohini, Patiala House, Rouse Avenue and Karkardooma court complexes, the Delhi High Court, the Supreme Court, the district courts at Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad, and before the DRT, DRAT, NCLT, NCLAT, Consumer Commissions, CAT and labour courts. Our chambers and offices are at the High Court, Saket, Dwarka and Pitampura.

Where is the firm's office?

The principal chamber is at S-307, 3rd Floor, Delhi High Court, Pragati Vihar, New Delhi 110003. We also have a chamber in the Lawyers Block at Saket Courts, an office at the 7th Floor, District Court, Dwarka, and an office at AD-13 B, Power Apartment, Pitampura, opposite Rohini Court.

How is a law firm different from a single advocate?

A firm assigns a matter to a team, so hearings, drafting and follow-up do not depend on one person's availability. A single advocate may suit a simple matter, but a case spanning several courts or branches of law is easier to run with a team.

Do you handle criminal cases and bail?

Yes. We handle bail, anticipatory bail and defence in trials at Delhi's district courts and the High Court. The rules are in the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, which replaced the Code of Criminal Procedure in July 2024.

Do you handle divorce and family matters?

Yes. We act in mutual consent and contested divorce, maintenance, custody and domestic violence matters before the Family Courts in Delhi. Our page on divorce lawyers in Delhi sets out the process stage by stage.

Do you handle property and landlord-tenant disputes?

Yes. We advise on title and documents and conduct suits for possession, partition, injunction, specific performance and eviction in the civil courts. See our property lawyer page for the stages and limitation periods.

Do you take cheque bounce cases?

Yes. A cheque bounce case under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 starts with a demand notice within thirty days of the return memo, and the complaint follows after the fifteen-day payment window. We act for both complainants and accused.

Do you handle company, M&A or trademark work?

No. We are a litigation firm. We do appear in commercial recovery and arbitration-related disputes, but we do not handle transactions, funding, mergers or trademark registration, and we tell you at the first call if your matter is of that kind.

Can you act for me if my case is in Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad or Faridabad?

Yes. We appear before the district courts at all four. We hold no chamber there, so meetings take place at our Delhi chambers or by phone or video.

How do I start working with the firm?

Call 99115 44811 or write to manujalawyers@gmail.com with a short note on the problem. We arrange a consultation, read your papers and tell you the forum, the steps and a realistic timeline before you decide.

How are fees decided?

Fees depend on the court, the stage and the work involved, and we explain the structure at the first consultation so there are no surprises. We do not charge on the basis of a promised result, and no advocate may offer one.

Can I consult the firm by phone or video?

Yes. Consultations are arranged in advance and can be in person at our chambers, by phone or by video, which suits clients based outside Delhi or in the NCR.

Can any lawyer promise me a win?

No, and no lawyer can. The result of a case depends on its facts, the evidence and the court. What we promise is careful preparation, honest advice about the risks and regular updates.
